Unlock the Full Potential
This installation was on a 4-story home, and the tech had not yet gone to the basement to troubleshoot the “infinity” water source heat pump, as he was told he by the homeowner. He was in the attic at the infinity furnace above the 4th floor. He was getting his dcv in the proper range on his A and B green plug on the air handler, 3 to 4 vdc. His indoor board ohm reading was in range, 28k to 32 k. The tech ohmed out the A and B thermostat wires on the water source heat pump from the upstairs. His ohm reading was not in range of a normal infinity board. His reading was around 64.4k. The tech then made the long walk to the basement where the “geothermal heat pump” was located. Bingo.
Now get out there and organize some zone wiring!
Zone equipment would be identified as indoor unit- blue black/ outdoor unit-blue green:

Carrier/Bryant Service Tech App
When I instruct Nate Classes, I typically suggest the Carrier Service Tech App to techs that have not used it. I have them download it and install it. Then, I have them open it and they have a couple of things to input. Once they begin to use it they love it, just as I did!
I will go through logging in and the My Jobs Quick Link in this article. In subsequent articles, I will demonstrate the use of other quick links. This app is a powerful tool for technicians in the field.
Download and Install the App
Search for the Carrier Service Tech app in the App Store or Play store. Click to download & install the app. Once installed, open the app.

Signing in to the App
Once you open the app, you will have to agree to terms & conditions and set your location preferences. Then, you will reach the Sign In screen. Enter your HVACpartners account information.
The app will prompt you to set your favorite store. Once completed, you will access the home screen.W

Barcode Scanner
The barcode scanner button allows you to scan the model number barcode for easy access to information on that particluar model.

Feel free to explore the app and all the different information it provides.
